International travel resources

The University of Missouri provides two types of insurance coverage for faculty and staff who travel internationally for university purposes. This insurance coverage is provided at no cost to the traveler or university department. AIG coverage includes travel accident and sickness benefits. MedEx coverage includes evacuation and transportation services. MedEx also provides an online location for travelers to store electronic medical information, copy of passport, travel schedule, etc. Faculty and staff who will travel internationally may contact Carla Clayton, in international affairs, at 341-6875 for details of the coverage, identification card and emergency contact information.

Ignite Rolla wrap-up

Ignite Rolla, a TED-like event hosted for the first time by Council of Graduate Students in collaboration with Student Council and Toastmasters International on Feb. 26, 2014, was a success. Swimming pool to close for semester

Due to construction for the geothermal project at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building and the Student Recreation Center, the S&T swimming pool will close on Wednesday, March 12, and will remain closed through the end of the 2014 spring semester. Although construction will occur in other parts of these buildings during this time, they will remain open and available for use through the end of the semester.
