GRACE donations 2014

Staff Council picked up and delivered approximately 55 boxes of toys, clothes and food for GRACE this year. Monetary collections brought in $678, which includes $322 from engineering management and systems engineering’s chili cook-off. Staff Council thanks everyone for the support in making this year’s collection a success.

Governor visits campus

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon will visit campus this afternoon to tour Schrenk Hall, which has been identified as S&T’s top priority for capital funding. The governor will tour portions of the building, followed by a news conference at approximately 1:10 p.m. in Room 141 Schrenk Hall.

ID card transition extension

The deadline to get a new MinerCard at no cost has been extended until Friday, Jan. 30. All students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive one new MinerCard at no cost if their current card is surrendered. Students, faculty and staff who do not have their current card will pay a $15 replacement fee.

Invasive species seminar Dec. 5

MLK Service Day

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a national holiday dedicated to King’s dream of a better and beloved community. Volunteer on Monday, Jan. 19, to make a difference by signing up online. Volunteers will be assigned to local community partners to complete tasks that will help improve the community. These are usually small tasks like road clean-up, stocking food bank shelves or reading to kids.
