Missouri S&T will celebrate Black History Month this February with numerous events based on the national theme “Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories.” See a full listing of the month’s events online. The deadline to apply for study abroad for the fall 2016 semester is Monday, Feb. 15. Meet with your study abroad coordinator as soon as possible and apply at the globalminers website.

On February 9, freshmen and seniors will be invited by email to fill out the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). This is their best opportunity to share their educational experiences at Missouri S&T. The results will be used to support regional/specialized accreditation efforts as well as foster program improvement, student retention and success. Please encourage all freshmen and seniors to participate. Survey respondents can win several prizes including an IPAD mini. For more information, go to ira.mst.edu/nsse.

Two open faculty forums to discuss all current and new graduate fellowships, such as Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellowships, Provost Fellowships and Dissertation Completion Fellowships, will be held this week.
