Perform in the Rolla Town Band this summer
Area musicians are invited to join the Rolla Town Band this summer. The band is open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players age 14 and older. There are no auditions to join and players of all abilities are welcome, including those who have not played in recent years. The band will perform five concerts throughout June and July. All five concerts are free and open to the public.

S&T orchestras to collaborate with local musicians for spring concert
Two local musicians will join the S&T Chamber and Symphony Orchestras for their annual spring concert on Sunday. The concert will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. Dr. Kyle Wernke, Missorui S&T lecturer in music will directs the ensembles. Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.

S&T jazz ensembles to perform spring concert
The S&T jazz ensembles will perform their spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall. The ensembles will be directed by Dave Cress, lecturer in the arts, languages, and philosophy department. The S&T Jazz Combo will begin the concert at 6:30 p.m., followed by the big bands at 7 p.m. The ensembles will perform music by Chick Corea, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie and Mike Tomaro. Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and to Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.

Volunteer with Second Saturday Service
Second Saturday Service is a 4 hour service project on April 13th from 8am-12pm that is open to all S&T students, faculty, and staff. S&T spring band concert this Sunday
The S&T Symphonic Band and University Wind Symphony Spring 2019 Concert will take place on Sunday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m. in Leach Theatre. The Symphonic Band will perform “Fanare and Allegro” by Clifton Williams, “Adagio” by David R. Holsinger and “Adirondack Festival Overture” by Stephen Bulla. The University Wind Symphony will perform “An American Elegy” by Frank Ticheli and “1812 Overture” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This performance of the “1812 Overture” will include pyrotechnics created by faculty in S&T’s explosives engineering program.
