Bettie Mae Fikes visits S&T on Thursday

Celebrated civil rights icon Bettie Mae Fikes will speak Thursday, Jan. 20, as part of S&T’s Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall; a reception with light refreshments begins at 6 p.m. in the Castleman Hall lobby. Admission to the event is a non-perishable or canned food item.

S&T student Beshoy Riad honored best poster award at the 2021 TriDurLE symposium

The USDOT National Center for Transportation Infrastructure Durability & Life-Extension (TriDurLE) organized a student poster competition at the 2021 TriDurLE Symposium on December 6, 2021. S&T student Beshoy Riad’s poster presentation entitled “Implementing the Lightweight Deflectometer for MoDOT Construction Acceptance of Unbound Material Layers” received the best poster award at this competition. Beshoy is a PhD candidate in CArEE department and his advisor is Dr. Xiong Zhang.

Applications now open for Donald D. Myers scholarship

Applications for the Donald D. Myers Scholarship are now open! The recipient will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship applicable to the 2022-2023 school year and will be recognized at the Student Leaders’ Award Ceremony.
The deadline to apply is February 1, 2022. The Donald D. Myers Scholarship is awarded to Missouri S&T students who have made a significant contribution to the community or campus through their service

Application for the Taco Bell Live Más Scholarship is now open

Scholarships of up to $25,000 are available and will be awarded to young people, primarily ages 16 to 26, who explain their passion and how they will ignite change in a two-minute application video.
