Attend the MinerBytes lunch and learn

MinerBytes users and content authors are invited to come together to share ideas and lunch. Join the MinerBytes community at noon Wednesday, March 4, in Room 106 Curtis Laws Wilson Library and help build the community. Microsoft Outlook security bulletin

Microsoft has released an iOS and Android application for Outlook. There are ample security concerns with these applications. At noon Tuesday, Feb. 3, information technology (IT) blocked the application from authenticating with Missouri S&T Exchange servers. IT security will continue to evaluate the security bearing of this application and any other application which may release university credentials to unknown resources. Remind your departments of the importance of not using university credentials on outside systems and applications.

Anyconnect VPN service is here

The Cisco Anyconnect client is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. To install the client, go to anyconnect.mst.edu. Provide your University of Missouri System single sign-on (SSO) user I.D. The client will download and install, or navigate to the link to download the installation package. When installed, point to server: anyconnect.mst.edu, select group “S&T_Campus_Access,” enter your SSO and password.
