Help students prepare for the spring Career Fair by donating clean, gently used career clothing to the career opportunities and employer relations’ suit closet. You can receive a deduction on your taxes for charitable giving. The suit closet needs the following:

The following research centers will be closed during the holidays, as noted:

• The Energy Research and Development Center (ERDC) will be closed from Friday, Dec. 23, to Tuesday, Jan. 3.
• The Center for Infrastructure and Engineering Studies (CIES) will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 27, to Tuesday, Jan. 3.
• Rock Mechanics and Explosive Research (RMERC) will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 27, to Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Maintenance will be performed on the Maximo work order system 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19. During this time, you will not be able to submit or view service requests or work orders. For more information or assistance during the outage, please call 531-4252.

Representatives from Tech Electronics will evaluate the fire alarm control panel and building devices in Emerson Hall Monday, Dec. 19. Alarms and strobes will be tested throughout the day, beginning at 7 a.m.

Nearly 800 Missouri S&T students will be awarded degrees during two commencement ceremonies at Gale Bullman Building on Saturday, Dec. 17. If traveling to campus, please allow extra time in case of inclement weather. For updates on road conditions, road closures or delays, please visit the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) website or sign up for MoDOT alerts.

In preparation for commencement ceremonies, Lot X-20 near Gale Bullman Building will close at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. All employees, including those driving S&T vehicles, are asked to park in the back row of the lot on Saturday, Dec. 17, to allow graduation guests to park closer to the entrance of the building.  The registrar’s office has rescheduled all final examinations previously scheduled in Emerson Hall. Get details of room changes on the registrar’s website.

John Mollenkamp, acting director of the Missouri Department of Revenue, has been named assistant vice chancellor for business services. He will begin his duties at Missouri S&T on Monday, Jan. 9. Mollenkamp replaces Randy Stoll, who recently retired.

The Testing Center staff expresses their gratitude to the faculty and students with final exams scheduled in the center. The staff appreciates your willingness to be flexible as more than 450 final exams are being administered in the center this week.
