Marketing analytics guest lecture planned tomorrow
Dr. Jonathan Frey will give presentations titled “Analysis of Voice of the Customer Data with Text Mining” and “Bringing New Food Products to Market” 2-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in Room B12B Bertelsmeyer Hall. Frey will speak to the Marketing Analytics class (MKT 5001) via a Zoom conference. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to join the class for his talk.

Missouri S&T will host the Track and Field Dewey Allgood Invitational Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20. Volunteers are needed for various duties throughout the event. Dr. Paul Orscheln, associate vice president for enrollment management and student retention at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, has been named vice provost for enrollment management at Missouri S&T. His appointment takes effect June 1.

The University of Missouri Board of Curators is meeting in St. Pat’s A and B of the Havener Center today (Thursday, April 11). The meeting begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor of Missouri S&T, will present a report of campus highlights at approximately 2:30 p.m. The meeting can also be watched via livestream at umsystem.edu/curators/stream.

Concrete canoe, steel bridge teams off to the races
Two S&T design teams will test the principles of construction and engineering during competitions this week – one by hand-constructing a scale-model bridge as fast as possible and the other by racing a 250-pound concrete canoe.
