Puck and plaza construction underway

Construction is underway on the Jack Carney Puck and Plaza. This project will include renovating the south end of the Puck, adding new entrance sidewalks leading up from the south, replacing concrete, and adding seating and new landscaping.

Henslee, Krueger honored during Woman of the Year ceremony

Missouri S&T honored Dr. Amber Henslee, associate professor of psychological science, as the 2020 Woman of the Year on Nov. 4 during a virtual ceremony. Merilee Krueger, teaching professor of psychological science, was presented the Dr. Elizabeth Cummins Women’s Advocate Award. Watch the ceremony.

Notice of student death

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Stephen R. Elder, a freshman in electrical engineering from Fort Lee, Virginia. He died Nov. 25 at his home in Virginia.

COVID-19 update: Free testing available for students, continued caution encouraged

Student Health Services will provide free rapid testing for COVID-19 to students with symptoms. The Abbott tests are funded by the state, and supplies are limited.

Library renovation continues, main entrance remains open

The exterior renovation to Curtis Laws Wilson Library is proceeding on schedule. The contractors built overhead protection at the main entrance as the work proceeds to the south side. The main entrance will remain open throughout the project.
