COVID-19 guidelines for events, gatherings
Missouri S&T’s COVID-19 safety guidelines allow for events on campus as long as they are limited to no more than 10 individuals and all participants maintain a physical distance of six feet or more and wear appropriate facial coverings as much as possible during the event. In keeping with best practices during the pandemic, you should plan to hold virtual events for groups larger than 10.
However, students, faculty and staff may host events for larger groups if approved by the university’s COVID-19 Incident Command Team leaders. To request an exemption from the current COVID-19 guidelines for your event, please please complete this form at least two weeks before the date of your event and include the following details:

Campus maintenance and repair projects supported through federal funds
Missouri S&T recently received over $4.68 million in federal funds to support two maintenance and repair projects: replacement of a 1950s-era electrical substation and removal of the university’s decommissioned power plant.

Westenberg to kick off speaker series
Missouri S&T’s Spring 2021 virtual speaker series will include topics ranging from the importance of sleep to the dark side of technology. The first speaker this semester will be Dr. David Westenberg, professor of biological sciences. He will give a talk titled “Epidemics in a Connected World” noon-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, via Zoom. Register for the talk.
