MU offers free conference
A free conference titled “Engineering Connections Between Politics and Science for the 21st Century” will be held from 8:15 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest will be performed by Aquila Theatre Company at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29. Tickets are $38 for adults and $28 for youth. The first 75 tickets for Missouri S&T students are free; additional student tickets are $10.

A dinner to benefit the Engineers Without Borders Guatemalan Water Project will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Meramec Vineyards. The cost is $25 per person.
