Dr. Sanjay Tewari, associate teaching professor for civil, architectural and environmental engineering, received the 2024 Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for Region 7. The award recognizes faculty advisors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and support to their ASCE student chapter.

S&T hosts first National Summer Transportation Institute
Sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri S&T welcomed 15 rising students in grades 10-12 for the inaugural National Summer Transportation Institute. S&T’s civil, architectural and environmental engineering department hosted the program in collaboration with the Kummer Center for STEM Education July 21-26.

S&T softball makes history with first-ever championship win
The 2024 Missouri S&T softball team not only made the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament, they won it, defeating University of Indianapolis, the top-ranked division II team in the country.
