Apply for summer 2025 Teaching Toolkit Program by today

Teaching professors of all ranks are encouraged to apply for the four-week summer Teaching Toolkit Program offered by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). This program is especially designed for faculty who are relatively new to teaching or who are returning to the classroom after a hiatus. Applications are due Monday, April 7.

Walker named Coach of the Year

Bill Walker, an S&T alumnus and head coach of the Miners Men’s Basketball Team, has been named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Midwest Region Coach of the Year. He is one of nine coaches in the nation to be named a regional coach of the year.

Missouri S&T scholars recognized by Academic Analytics

Eight Missouri S&T researchers have been recognized by Academic Analytics for ranking in the top 5% of their peers across four or more scholarly activity metrics. This data was calculated before Missouri S&T’s inclusion in the Carnegie R1 category, therefore the peer context is universities in the R2 category.

Two Kummer Impact Professors announced

Missouri S&T has named two new Kummer Impact Professors, a five-year appointment recognizing faculty for their contributions to research and S&T’s national reputation. Dr. Amy Belfi, an associate professor of psychological science, will begin her appointment on July 1. Dr. Rui Bo, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, will begin his appointment on Sept. 1.
