Student saves athlete’s life

A student was playing in an intramural basketball game when he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Lucas Stone, a student supervisor in the athletic department and a senior in engineering management, ran to the student and immediately began CPR while other student staffers gathered the automated external defibrillator (AED), called 911, and found professional help.

Goldberg wins Spokane Prize
