Learn about cross-cultural communication tomorrow

Join the Staff Success Center 10-11 a.m. Friday, March 15, in the Carver Room of the Havener Center, to learn about the intricacies of cross-cultural communication. Dr. Thu Tran will explore the nexus of language and culture and ways to foster effective communication across cultures.
Tran is an assistant teaching professor of English and technical communication. Since joining the university in 2012, he has served in roles including manager of the Applied Language Institute or Intensive English Program and the graduate teaching assistant program. He has worked with students from nearly 50 countries over the last two decades. This extensive interaction with international students sparked his research interest in effective communication across cultures.
