Students offering Aladdin dance camp for children

The Missouri S&T Ballet and Dance Club will host Aladdin dance camps for children ages 3-13. The camp costs $35 per child. Participants can attend one of two camps:

Save the date for ‘Through My Eyes’ training

Students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders add to our campus in countless ways. To guide our faculty and staff toward a better understanding and appreciation for the fascinating and wonderful aspects of students with ASD, disability support services will offer two training sessions Friday, Feb. 10:

  • Session for staff at 9-10:30 a.m. in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center
  • Session for faculty at 11:30-1 p.m., with lunch provided, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center

‘Active shooter’ response training planned on campus Jan. 11

University Police will host response training for law enforcement officers Wednesday, Jan. 11, on Missouri S&T’s campus. Participants will take classes in Bertelsmeyer Hall and undergo scenario training with replica weapons in Harris Hall. University receives $1.4 million grant for transportation center

Missouri S&T is one of 35 universities to receive a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to establish a University Transportation Center (UTC). Missouri S&T received a $1.4 million UTC “tier 1” grant to develop robotic tools to inspect and maintain bridges and portions of highway from the air or from the side of the structure. Dr. Genda Chen, the Robert W. Abbett Distinguished Chair in Civil Engineering, is director of the new center. Other faculty involved in the project include:
