Grad fair at bookstore kicks off March 21

The S&T Store will hold a grad fair 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, and Thursday, March 22. Save 10 percent on caps and gowns and diploma frames. On both days, students can pick up personalized graduation announcements 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and get senior portraits taken for the yearbook 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Enter to win prizes, including a regalia set (cap, gown and tassel) or a diploma frame. Visit with staff from the registrar’s office and career opportunities and employer relations (COER).

UM System, McGraw-Hill Education expand access to affordable course materials

The University of Missouri System and learning science company McGraw-Hill Education announced on March 7 an agreement that will increase student access to affordable course materials. The cost of all McGraw-Hill Education electronic textbooks will be lowered by an additional 38 percent to meet the university system’s definition of low cost.

Look up to the sky, see Messier 3 tonight

The Missouri S&T Observatory will open its doors at 10:30 p.m. for viewing star cluster Messier 3 through the observatory’s 16-inch diameter telescope on Thursday, March 22. The sky must be clear for observing, and the session length will vary.

Sign your child up tomorrow for swim lessons

Lab expansion receives $300,000 gift from ARCO Construction Co.

Staff invited to tomorrow’s open forum

Staff Council will host an open forum 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 16, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center for S&T staff members. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor, will take questions from the audience. Staff members may ask questions at the forum or submit questions before the meeting by emailing mststaffcouncil@mst.edu.
