There will be a renaming ceremony for Straumanis-James Hall at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 14, in front of the building. The building that houses the Graduate Center for Materials Research is being renamed to honor Dr. William (Bill) James, professor emeritus of chemistry. Dr. Martin Straumanis was one of James’ friends and colleagues.
