Campus ministry trivia night

“Geeks for God” Campus Ministry will host its annual fundraiser trivia night at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Family Center located at 803 N. Main St. in Rolla. The night’s theme is “Time Warp.” All proceeds directly benefits students by paying for the Campus Ministry’s annual alternative spring break mission trip. Haynes to step down as ALP chair

Dr. Lance Haynes, chair of arts, languages, and philosophy since 2010, will step down from that role effective Jan. 1, 2016. He will remain on the faculty in a teaching and research capacity and will continue to coordinate the multidisciplinary studies program. Haynes, who is also a professor of speech and media studies, joined the faculty as an assistant professor in 1984. “I’ve enjoyed serving as chair but I’m looking forward to reinventing myself as a professor once again,” Haynes says.
