Diversity and inclusion training required for search committees

Institutional equity, diversity and inclusion reminds all faculty and staff that if they serve on a hiring committee, they must complete the required diversity and inclusion training for search committees every two years. If you need to check to see if your training is up-to-date, you may email benjamin.white@mst.edu to verify your status. If you are forming a search committee, you may also email a list of your committee members to Benjamin White to check their training status. This training can be arranged for your individual search committee at an as-needed basis, or you may attend an open training session noon-1:30 p.m. Sept. 29; 12:30-2 p.m. Nov. 9; noon-1:30 p.m. Jan. 24, 2016; 12:30-2 p.m. March 8, 2016; or noon-1:30 p.m. May 2. All trainings will be held in the Silver and Gold Room of the Havener Center.

Mass notification system test set for Aug. 31

There will be a campuswide test of the emergency mass notification system at noon Wednesday, Aug. 31. The test will include a text message to students and employees saying, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” The test will also include voice and email alerts.
