Fencing Club tournament

S&T’s Fencing Club will host a tournament starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and at noon Sunday, Feb. 9, both at The Center, 1200 Holloway St., Rolla. The event will have S&T compete against teams from colleges around the country. Admission to watch them compete is free, so attend and cheer on the club.

Testing Center policies

Students and faculty requiring alternate test times, make-up exams or other testing arrangements are asked to notify the Testing Center at least seven business days before the test date. The Testing Center will no longer accept same day testing requests. Students are to make arrangements with both faculty and the Testing Center; faculty is reminded to submit a Faculty Test Request Form.

Ending conversion therapy seminar

Join Sam Briton, a research assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, secretary for the Delta Lambda Phi social fraternity board of directors and survivor of reparative therapy, as he discusses how Missouri can end conversion therapy. The event, sponsored by leadership and cultural programs, will begin at noon Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the Shamrock Room of the Havener Center.

Black History Month talent showcase

Showcase your talents while bringing a piece of black history to life at the Black History Month Celebration. Sing, dance, instrumental, spoken word, poetry or any other type of artistic expression is welcomed and encouraged. Perform as a group or solo. Sign up at lcprograms.mst.edu. Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 14. Pieces must be relatable to the 2014 Black History Month theme of honor, hurdles and heroes. All individuals that sign up must be available for rehearsal and celebration.

Finance and administration relocates

Ignite Rolla-call for abstracts

Ignite Rolla, an evening of brief TED Talk-style lectures designed to showcase the inspirational ideas being generated by members of the Missouri S&T campus and the Rolla community, will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in St. Pat’s Ballroom C of the Havener Center.
