New MinerCards, fee rates

The MinerCard office will introduce a new card this semester to students, faculty and staff, featuring contactless technology. The current mag-stripe system, which is still used around the campus, will remain. All current students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive one new MinerCard at no cost, if their current card is surrendered, during the migration period of Aug. 4-Dec. 19.

Water outage in engineering management today

There will be a domestic water outage 6:30-8 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 23) in the Engineering Management Building. This outage will allow the building to be tied into the campus irrigation system.

New responsive website template

In the coming weeks Missouri S&T will introduce a new responsive university standard template on its websites. The new template will make the university’s websites more user-friendly on any device. Missouri S&T’s web presence includes over 16,000 pages optimized for a screen size that now represents less than two percent of total site traffic. This upgrade will make university sites “future friendly,” taking advantage of modern web technologies like responsive design and adaptive loading, along with other background enhancements to improve page load times and device compatibility.
