Area X parking changes
Area X, the parking lot by the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, is for activities within the building or those who have an Area X permit only. Employees must purchase any permit to park in this lot. Any lettered permit will be authorized to park in this area. Students can register their vehicle at no charge and park within this lot, while utilizing the building during open building hours, for a period not to exceed three hours. Overnight parking is restricted to specifically authorized vehicles.

Missouri is eligible for the National Science Foundation’s experimental program to stimulate competitive research (EPSCoR) and will submit one proposal statewide. Sponsored programs will hold the second information and idea-sharing meeting for faculty to organize a proposal 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Room 140 Toomey Hall. This session is titled “Water-Food-Energy Nexus.”

Dr. Elizabeth Cudney, associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering, was named a 2014 Fellow of the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) on Oct. 17 at ASEM’s annual international conference. Fellowship is the highest level of membership in the society and is awarded to those who demonstrate significant engineering management accomplishments and continue to serve the society.

Dr. Patti Fleck, director of counseling, disability support and student wellness, received the Andy “Ruck Sack” Yost Award for Selfless Service from Missouri S&T’s Army ROTC. Once a year, Army ROTC presents the award to one cadet and one faculty or staff member.

Join Chartwells for its annual community holiday buffet 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. Fifteen percent of proceeds go to Phelps County Community Partnership. All university employees and Rolla community members are welcome.
