The science behind ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks’

The iGEM student design team will offer a hands-on demonstration of DNA extraction at 4 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, April 2) in the Missouri/Ozark Room of the Havener Center. The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the One Book Program’s series of events related to “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” by Rebecca Skloot.

This 10-week online program uses mind-body practices (meditations and yoga), the principles of mindful and intuitive eating, skills training, and group support to guide you in creating a healthier relationship to your food, mind and body.
