Engineering management and systems engineering (EMSE) graduate students will present their research to a panel of judges 9-11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, in the Engineering Management Building. All faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by and learn more about the students’ accomplishments.

Dr. Arvind Varma, the R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor and Jay and Cynthia Ihlenfeld Head of the School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, will present a lecture titled “Evolving Trends in Chemical Engineering Education” at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in Room B-10 Bertelsmeyer Hall. Jerry Vaill, a lecturer in mining and nuclear engineering at Missouri S&T, will lead S&T students in conducting a fireworks display at dusk Saturday, April 18, near 2299 State Hwy PP in Cuba, Missouri. Signs stating “MOPYRO” will mark the location of the display. The display is sponsored in part by the Missouri Pyrotechnics Association. “Spencers: Theatre of Illusion” will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, in Leach Theatre. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $12 for Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the Leach Theatre Box Office or by calling 341-4219.

The campus community is invited to learn about Middle Eastern culture and customs during Saudi Night on Saturday, April 18. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for the performance and dinner.
