The Research on Concrete Applications for Sustainable Transportation (RE-CAST) University Transportation Center invites the campus community to a webinar, which will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.

Dr. Leslie Petrik, professor of chemistry at the University of Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa, will present a seminar titled “Nanotechnology in Water Treatment” at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in Room 103 Engineering Management. The event is sponsored by Missouri S&T’s Environmental Research Center and Materials Research Center.

Missouri S&T has recently become a member of the schools listed for eduroam. Eduroam (education roaming) is an international roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. Eduroam provides researchers, teachers and students easy and secure network access when visiting an institution other than their own.

Registration for the MinerRama Involvement Fair is now available. MinerRama will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at the Puck. It’s textbook sell back time at the S&T Store. Receive a minimum $5 for each qualifying textbook. Participants can receive a scratch off card to receive 10 percent, 20 percent or 30 percent off S&T merchandise. The sell back begins Monday, May 4, and continues for two weeks.
