The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce warns the campus community that a group named Hometown Productions is calling area businesses to sell advertisement space on new Rolla and Phelps County maps. The group is fraudulently claiming to be acting on behalf of the chamber.

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Business will host a campuswide retirement reception for Dr. Bob Aronstam, chair and professor of biological sciences, 2-4 p.m. Monday, June 29, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center.

University Police is seeking someone with sign language skills to serve as an interpreter for the department in case of an emergency involving deaf or hearing impaired individuals. There will be a heating water outage beginning the afternoon of Monday, June 15, and lasting until the end of the day Wednesday, June 17. The outage will only affect buildings’ heating systems. The cooling temperature will be raised to help control cold areas in the buildings. For more information, call Ron Boggs at 341-7619. The following buildings will be affected:

Area M Lot 19, near McNutt Hall, will close at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14. The closure is for Missouri S&T’s Explosives Camp, which will hold a welcome ceremony and small fireworks display for campers.
