Oerther re-elected chair waste management group

At its Sept. 17 meeting, the Missouri Hazardous Waste Management Commission elected Daniel Oerther, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, to serve a one-year term as commission chair through 2027.
This marks Oerther’s third election to the position. He previously served as chair from 2022 to 2024. The commission oversees hazardous waste management policies and regulations for the state.
