How does a scientific discovery become a product people use every day?
Dr. Claudio Mazzali, vice president for global research at Corning Inc., will explore that process during the inaugural Delbert E. Day Lecture on Glass Science and Technology at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Innovation Lab atrium.
Mazzali leads early-stage innovation across Corning’s businesses, including display technology, consumer electronics and optical communications.
The lecture honors Delbert E. Day, Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus of ceramic engineering and an internationally recognized glass researcher, educator and entrepreneur.
