Sheffel receives national student advocate award

Cris Sheffel, retention specialist in academic support, was selected as a recipient of the 2027 Outstanding First-Year Student Advocates Award, presented by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition and Penguin Random House Publishing. She will be recognized at the 46th Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience in February in Orlando, Florida.
