Oerther selected for Peace Corps virtual service program

Dr. Daniel B. Oerther, professor of environmental engineering, was selected to participate in the Peace Corps Virtual Service Pilot. From September 2026 through February 2027, he will work with Occidental Mindoro State University in San Jose, Philippines, supporting disaster risk reduction and management planning through an online collaboration program. Oerther previously served as a Fulbright Scholar in India, Brazil and the United Kingdom and has received several university honors for international engagement and outreach.
