Henry Mitchell Scholarship funds research in South Africa

Conduct research at the University of the Western Cape, a longtime partner of the University of Missouri System, in Cape Town, South Africa. All current University of Missouri System graduate students are eligible to apply for the Henry Mitchell Scholarship. For spring 2027, the scholarship provides $4,000 for a UM System graduate student to travel to UWC to conduct research.
Applicants already connected with a UWC faculty member should identify that person and describe their intended research. Applicants without a UWC contact can be connected with one through Rodney Uphoff at the University of Missouri (uphoffr@missouri.edu).
