‘Get Your Global Kicks on Route 66’ at Celebration of Nations

Celebration of Nations returns for its 17th year of celebrating the unique mix of cultures at Missouri S&T and in the City of Rolla. This year’s celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26, also highlights Rolla’s place on historic Route 66, which marks its 100th anniversary this year.
The festivities begin with the Parade of Nations, starting at 11 a.m. The parade will feature more than 160 flags representing nations and cultures from around the world carried by Missouri S&T students, faculty, staff and community members. The parade will also include marching bands, local dignitaries and the ever-popular camels.
Following the parade, the celebration will continue at the downtown bandshell and festival lots. The festival will feature handmade crafts and international cuisine, as well as live entertainment at two stages from noon-3 p.m. Learn more about Celebration of Nations.
