The faculty success team is seeking faculty members interested in supporting recruitment efforts by answering candidate questions about living and working in Rolla.

Work-life liaisons support faculty recruitment by meeting individually with candidates during campus visits to discuss Missouri S&T’s dual-career resources, tenure-clock extension policies, leave opportunities and community resources, and by connecting candidates with appropriate contacts for additional information.

Responsibilities include:

• Attend monthly meetings for training, information sharing and updates.
• Meet individually with faculty candidates during campus visits.
• Remain familiar with campus policies, opportunities and community resources.
• Provide a welcoming environment for candidates to ask questions about campus culture and life in Rolla.
• Keep candidate questions confidential and separate from the search committee evaluation process.

Qualifications:

• Associate professor or professor (research, teaching or tenured).
• Willingness to serve as an ambassador for Missouri S&T and Rolla.
• Commitment to faculty success and improving campus climate.
• Experience with campus committees, resources, community organizations or off-campus events.

Appointment

Up to six work-life liaisons will be selected by the faculty success leadership team. Selected faculty members will receive a $1,000 annual stipend in recognition of their service.

The initial appointment runs from October 2026 through May 2027 and may be renewed annually by mutual agreement between the liaison and the faculty success team.
