Several parking changes take effect this fall. Here’s what students should know before parking on campus.
TJ Hall
- Free temporary parking will be available in Lot T during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.
- Scan the posted QR code and enter the provided validation code to receive 30 minutes of free parking in a regular permit space.
- Up to 20 temporary permits will be active at one time. Additional permits will become available as existing permits expire.
Lot X and Gale Bullman
- Student-athletes should register for the student athlete permit through the parking portal. The permit allows eligible student-athletes to park at Gale Bullman even if they do not purchase a regular parking permit.
- The three-hour free parking option for Student Recreation Center use will continue through a pass validation system.
- Scan the posted QR code and enter the validation code to receive one three-hour parking period in Lot X during enforcement hours.
- Lot X will be monitored more closely this year.
Motorcycles
- Regular permit holders may add a motorcycle to their vehicle permit. If you do, the motorcycle must be parked in designated motorcycle spaces within your assigned lot.
- Motorcycle permit holders may park in motorcycle spaces throughout campus, except in the parking garage.
New AMP digital meters
Physical parking meters are being replaced with AMP digital meters across campus. Instead of inserting a credit card or coins into a meter, drivers will use posted signs and the AMP app to pay for parking.
The new system connects with the university’s license plate recognition system, replacing the previous physical meters and ParkMobile system.
