Dr. Stephen Roberts will complete his term as vice chancellor and chief strategy officer on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and return to the faculty in the biological sciences department. 

The vice chancellor and chief strategy officer position was established as a fixed-term appointment to advance key strategic priorities for Missouri S&T. During his tenure, Roberts served in several leadership roles, including interim provost, chief operating officer of the Kummer Missouri S&T Foundation, and vice chancellor and chief strategy officer. 

“Steve’s leadership has played an important role in advancing Missouri S&T’s strategic vision,” says Chancellor Mo Dehghani. “From helping establish the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business and the university’s education department to supporting the launch of the Kummer Missouri S&T Foundation and key campus development projects, his work has helped position the university for continued success. I thank him for his service and welcome his return to the faculty.” 

Roberts contributed to several university initiatives, including the Child Development Center, Bioplex and Schrenk Hall renovations, as well as expanded engagement with partners throughout Missouri.
