ElGawady delivers international keynote on resilient infrastructure

Dr. Mohamed A. ElGawady, professor of civil engineering, was invited to give a keynote speech at the International Conference on Recent Advances in Construction Materials and Structures (RCMS 2026) Friday, June 19, in Coimbatore, India.

ElGawady delivered remarks during the opening ceremony and presented a keynote lecture on the assessment and repair of prestressed concrete bridge girders subjected to over-height vehicle impacts. His presentation highlighted research on structural impact behavior, infrastructure resilience, repair strategies and sustainable approaches to extending the service life of critical infrastructure.
