Faculty and staff are encouraged to share three Team Innovation Project (TIP) opportunities with students for fall 2026.

Kummer College’s TIP program is recruiting undergraduate and graduate students for the following projects:

• GenScript TIP Project: Students will help develop an AI-powered product advisor for a global leader in gene synthesis and life science products and services. The project integrates artificial intelligence, software development, user experience, data science and life science applications.
• MilliporeSigma TIP Project: Students will work with a global biotechnology company on enzyme research, patent and intellectual property analysis, and AI-assisted research and development workflows.
• Organizational Diagnostics and Systems Thinking (KC5001-103): Students will learn systems thinking, root-cause analysis, discovery interviewing and organizational problem-solving while working with entrepreneur and Missouri S&T alumnus Hugh Cole.

The opportunities are open to students from various disciplines, including engineering, computer science, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, business, analytics, entrepreneurship and related fields.

Applications are due Monday, Aug. 17.
