The 2026 Miners Solving for Tomorrow Student Research Conference recognized undergraduate and graduate research following evaluation by more than 20 judges. The conference was held April 1-2 at the Havener Center and organized by University Libraries.
Undergraduate awards included best oral presentation for Lukas Farthing, a sophomore in physics, and best poster presentation for Keagen Miller and Uma Adrianna Misra, seniors in environmental science.
Graduate awards included best oral presentation for Sara McCauley, a doctoral candidate in chemistry, and best poster presentation for Austin Ennis, a Ph.D. student in bioengineering. Winners received certificates and $300 cash prizes.
