Zachary D. Tuhoski has been named director of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center at Missouri S&T. His appointment begins Monday, June 1.
The Student Design and Experiential Learning Center supports multidisciplinary student design teams by providing facilities, technical resources and experiential learning opportunities that enhance hands-on education.
Tuhoski is completing a doctorate in metallurgical engineering at S&T, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in the same field. He has served as a graduate research assistant, with responsibilities that include research design, data analysis and training students to use laboratory equipment and facilities.
He previously worked as a powertrain engineer at Toyota North America, supporting casting, quality and manufacturing improvement efforts.
Tuhoski brings prior experience with the design center to the role. He worked at the center as a student employee, supporting student teams through training, facility operations and competition travel.
