Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development has announced a strategic collaboration between the Team Innovation Projects (TIP) program and the Entrepreneurial Student Society (ESS) to create a structured innovation pipeline for Missouri S&T students.

The partnership establishes ESS as a primary training environment for TIP. Students will develop foundational skills through ESS projects before advancing to credit‑bearing, corporate‑sponsored TIP projects.

Key elements of the collaboration include:

• Talent pipeline: ESS serves as a preparatory pathway for TIP participation
• Bi‑directional project referrals: TIP and ESS will align projects based on scope and resources
• Shared resources: ESS executive leadership will access the TIP office suite in the library
• Coordinated leadership: Plans include adding a TIP coordinator role to the ESS executive board.
