Dr. Shannon Fogg, professor and chair of history and political science, published an article in The Conversation examining the obstacles Holocaust survivors in France faced after World War II, including property loss and bureaucratic barriers. The article documents how survivors returning home encountered stolen apartments, looted belongings and administrative hurdles while seeking restitution.

The piece was translated and republished in The Conversation France.  Within one week of publication, the article was read more than 70,000 times.
