Missouri S&T will host a special screening of the award-winning documentary Pipe Dreams at 6 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Leach Theatre.

The film screening is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The movie’s director, Mojeri Coker, will introduce the movie and share his thoughts on the making of the film, the resilience of the human spirit and how individuals can change the world.

Pipe Dreams tells the true story of Silvester Nzuki Mwami, who at 9 years old began a 20-year mission to bring clean water to his drought-stricken village in rural Kenya. The film captures a decades-long struggle against a 50-year drought and focuses on perseverance, innovation and community-driven problem-solving.
