The Missouri S&T football team will host a “Get in the Game” blood stem cell donor registry drive 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the atrium of the Havener Center, in partnership with NMDP. The drive builds on earlier campus efforts that helped save lives by connecting patients with matching blood stem cell donors.
The event is open to students and community members ages 18-35 who are U.S. residents and meet NMDP health guidelines. Joining the registry takes just a few minutes and requires only a simple cheek swab, but it could provide a lifesaving match for someone in need of a blood stem cell transplant.
