Young named to watch lists

Missouri S&T’s men’s basketball player, Andrew Young, a senior studying engineering management from Ballwin, Missouri, continues to garner national attention, earning recognition on two different watch lists. Small College Basketball has named Young a top 25 candidate for the Trevor Hudgins Award and advanced him to the top 50 on the Bevo Francis Award watch list.
Young leads the Miners in scoring, rebounding and blocking this season, picking up five double doubles this year. He recorded a career-high 28 points in a game this season, helping the Miners complete a 15-point comeback on the road at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in January. He ranks fifth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference for blocks per game and seventh for shooting percentage at 50.6%.
