Missouri S&T will participate in Missouri’s statewide tornado drill at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, as part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, March 2-6. The National Weather Service will test its emergency alert procedures, and local agencies will activate outdoor warning sirens.
During the drill, the campus community is encouraged to practice tornado safety by moving to the lowest level of a building and into an interior room away from windows. Review how you receive weather alerts and be familiar with the difference between a watch (prepare to act) and a warning (take action immediately).
The drill will be canceled in the event of severe weather.
