All faculty, staff and students are invited to serve as commencement ambassadors during the spring commencement ceremonies. Commencement ambassadors help guests to their seats, answer questions, guide graduates and maintain a positive atmosphere for families and friends of graduates during this celebration. S&T will host three commencement ceremonies in the Gale Bullman Building at the conclusion of the spring semester. Ph.D. and master’s degree candidates will be honored during a ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, May 15, and bachelor’s degree candidates will be recognized during two ceremonies (split by discipline) held at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.
Perks of becoming an ambassador:
• Represent S&T and be part of the highlight of the academic year.
• All ambassadors will receive an exclusive ambassador appreciation gift, as well as an invitation to a special luncheon on Thursday, May 14, and a chance to win raffle prizes.
• If you are an exempt employee and your supervisor allows, you can use flex time for hours worked during commencement.
If you are interested in becoming a commencement ambassador, fill out this form.
Ambassadors will be contacted with more details in the weeks leading up to commencement.
