All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the 2026 Miners Solving for Tomorrow Student Research Conference, taking place April 1–3.
The conference will kick off on Wednesday, April 1, with undergraduate poster sessions and oral presentations 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Havener Center. A buffet-style luncheon for presenters and attendees will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Pat’s Ballroom, featuring a keynote address by Dr. Daniel Shank titled “A How-To Guide for Scholarly Research: From Ideas to Publications.”
On Thursday, April 2, graduate poster sessions and oral presentations will be held 9:30 a.m.- 4p.m. in the Havener Center. Lunch will again be served buffet-style starting at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Pat’s Ballroom, followed by a keynote from Dr. Jerry W. Martin, Jr. titled “Protecting Intellectual Property While Promoting Research Publishing.”
The conference will conclude 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, in the St. Pat’s Ballroom. Dr. John Harris, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, will deliver closing remarks. Award winners will be announced and recognized.
