Attend a promotion and tenure panel discussion March 5

A panel discussion on promotion and tenure processes will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the CAFE faculty development studio, located in Room 208 of Norwood Hall, and via Zoom. Senior faculty and recently promoted faculty will share advice and answer questions about the promotion and tenure process at S&T.

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Daryl Beetner, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of electrical and computer engineering
  • Dr. Irina Ivliyeva, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of Russian and chair of ALP
  • Dr. David Lipke, associate professor of materials science and engineering
  • Dr. John McManus, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of history
  • Dr. Melanie Mormile, professor of biological sciences and 2026 chair of the campus promotion and tenure committee.

The discussion is open to all faculty; individuals who are planning to participate in the next promotion and tenure cycle are especially encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided for all attendees who register by Monday, March 2.
