The arts, languages and philosophy department will present In Bloom, a play by Gwyneth Strope, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, through Saturday, Feb. 14, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Black Box Theatre in Castleman Hall. The show is directed by S&T alumna Madison Kastner, who earned bachelor’s degrees in English and secondary education.

In Bloom follows Dorothy, a single mother raising four teenage daughters. When she meets someone at her mother’s wedding, she begins a yearlong path toward her own wedding. Through humor, conflict and journal entries, the story examines a pivotal year for the family members as they navigate the challenges of welcoming someone new into their lives.
