Missouri S&T is a finalist for the NCAA Division II Award of Excellence for community engagement efforts.

S&T was recognized for its disaster recovery efforts following the EF2 tornado that hit Rolla in March 2025.

The Division II Award of Excellence is awarded for initiatives that exemplify community engagement and student-athlete leadership. Finalists were selected by a committee of athletics administrators and the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and SAAC members selected the top three finalists.
